Description
This is the replica of a 19th Century hunting style Sgian Dubh with Celtic knot decoration, it has been based on historical specimans of this time.
The wooden hilt is carved in a basket weave pattern with metal nails for added decoration.
This is a typical Victorian military style and was easier to carve than the celtic knotwork designs that decorated the earlier 18th century dirks and daggers. It is the ultimate development from the earlier types and celtic styled late 18th century style, it is still being used today.
