Pokémon TCG: Incandescent Arcana – Japanese Booster Pack (S11a)

Japanese Release Date: 2 September 2022 | Set Code: S11a | Sword & Shield Series

English Equivalent: Silver Tempest (November 2022)

Overview

Incandescent Arcana is a fan-favorite, premium Enhanced Expansion Pack from the Sword & Shield era. Designed with a distinct focus on elegant, strong, and beautiful Pokémon, the set heavily features Grass, Fire, Water, and Psychic-type lineups.

As an Enhanced Expansion Pack, Incandescent Arcana has a smaller, highly concentrated card pool featuring increased pull-rate density of secret cards per box compared to standard main sets. The set achieved legendary status among both collectors and competitive players, primarily driven by the massive popularity of the Serena Special Art (SR) trainer card and the debut of unique Pokémon VSTAR mechanics.

With 68 cards in the base set and 26 Secret Rares (including beloved Character Rare and Character Super Rare variants), S11a offers an incredibly rewarding opening experience with some of the most striking artwork of the Generation 8 era.

Key Features

• The "Serena" Chase: The set contains the highly iconic Serena SR, which stands as one of the most collectible and sought-after full-art Trainer cards of the entire Sword & Shield block.

• Alolan Vulpix VSTAR Debut: Incandescent Arcana made TCG history by featuring Alolan Vulpix VSTAR—marking the first time an unevolved Pokémon ever received the powerful VSTAR treatment.

• Premium Character Rares (CHR / CSR): S11a showcases the Character Rare mechanic at its absolute peak, offering beautiful full-art illustrations of popular Pokémon alongside their legendary trainers from the video games.

• Three Radiant Pokémon: The set features three highly playable and beautiful Radiant Pokémon—Jirachi, Alakazam, and Tsareena—bringing unique shiny textures and "one-per-deck" power to the pool.

Notable Cards

• Serena (SR) — The ultimate crown jewel of the set. A highly playable Supporter card boasting stunning full-art styling that commands premium value.
