Seeking a cure for her cancer, Jane Foster turned to New Asgard, where she saw the cracked Mjolnir. The hammer then reconstructed itself and deemed Foster worthy turning her into Mighty Thor. Since it was reconstructed, it gained a new ability which was that it could split itself into many pieces to act as projectiles. Mjolnir gave Foster a new life with many powers. However, its continued use sped up the cancer, making her weaker every time.
